Tetra Pak and Doveco Launch Vietnam’s First Tetra Recart® Line – A New Era in Food Packaging

Son La, July 2, 2025 – Swedish packaging giant Tetra Pak, in collaboration with Dong Giao Foodstuff Export JSC (Doveco), officially inaugurated Vietnam’s first Tetra Recart® line at Doveco’s plant in Mai Son, Son La Province .

1. Cutting-Edge Tech, Major Benefits

• Operating at 6,000 cartons per hour, the new line reduces packaging costs, waste, and weight.

• A “paper-can” system using high-speed processing and thermal retort sterilization, Tetra Recart® ensures shelf stability without refrigeration or preservatives, maintaining flavor and nutrition.

• Products such as sweet corn, pineapple juice, and assorted beans will be packed in lightweight, recyclable cartons, slated for nationwide rollout from July 2, 2025.

Tetra Recart® align perfectly with consumer demands for convenience, safety, and sustainability.

2. Economic and Social Impact

• With an investment of approximately USD 4 million, the line also supported the first export of sweet corn packed via Tetra Recart® to Japan.

• It underpins the development of integrated agricultural value chains, stabilizing incomes for Son La farmers shifting toward high-value crops.

•  Provincial and national authorities pledge support to expand raw material zones up to 50,000 ha
